Definitions

	Steel Toe Boots Durable, steel toe boots have a protective steel reinforcement in the toe and a steel sole plate. Known to protect the foot from objects that fall from above and punctures from below, these steel toe boots meets or exceeds CSA and ANSI safety standards.		Cold Resistant Boots / Cold Resistant Footwear Cold resistant boots are suitable for wearing in temperatures to -40°C.
	Composite Toe Boots / Composite Plate Boots Lightweight composite toe boots have a non-metallic toe cap and non-metallic sole plate. These boots have passed drop tests and extreme ambient temperature tests and exceeds CSA and ANSI safety standards.		Drilex®Lined Boots / Drilex®Lined Footwear Drilex lined boots and Drilex lined footwear are/is especially designed with a multi-zone lining system that transports moisture away from the foot keeping your foot dry, cool and comfortable. The closest layer to the foot is composed of 100% Hydrofil®nylon. The fabrics in these boots are made or licensed by SympaTex®Technologies GmbH and features a breatheable membrane laminated to other footware surfaces or sandwiched between two layers of the footware referred to as a Three-Layer Laminate.
	Daffo Advanced Polyurethane or Rubber Sponge Midsole Encapsulated within the rubber cage, the midsole reduces the weight of the rubber sole by 30%, providing lighter weight shock absorption thus reducing stress on the feet and legs.		Vibram®VSM Technology Sole Footwear with this impervious rubber sole, called the Vibram®SuperMotard sole, has two types of sliders: rubber or nylon. The rubber component is labeled Vibram®Mont and is produced by Vibram®VSM Technology.
	Thinsulate™ Used for thermal insulation, Thinsulate™ is an exceptionally thin, lightweight, and durable micro-fiber. Footwear fabricated with this synthetic, breathable fabric is designed for high-level activities where the user generates a lot of heat and will absorb only 1% of its weight in moisture.		Thermolite Insulated Boots / Thermolite Insulated Footwear Boots with Thermolite Insulation (patented thermal technology) provides warmth with a comfortably soft, lightweight insulation.
	Slip resistant The footwear sole is slip resistant in accordance with the standards set by the "American Society for Test and Material" (ASTM). This nationally recognized organization is active in the development of slip resistant standards and currently has eight active standards for six slip meters.		Anti-static Boots / Anti-static Footwear These anti-static boots reduce the accumulation of static electricity and chance of igniting flammable substances and vapors with sparks, reducing the risk of fire.
	Dual Density Footwear This footwear has two layers especially designed to keep you warm in harsh outdoor and mining environments. . The first layer is a long lasting sole and the second layer is a soft inner layer for comfort.		Electric Shock Resistant Boot / Electric Shock Resistant Footwear (ESR) Boots labeled "ESR" are manufactured to protect you from electric shock when working near electrical hazards. Testing concluded the leakage current did not exceed 1 mill ampere when applying an 18,000 volt / 60HZ electrical discharge to ground for one continuous minute.

	Waterproof Boots / Waterproof Footwear Waterproof-labeled boots and footwear are guaranteed to keep out water when properly maintained according to the care instructions or not otherwise damaged. The leather, during our "Daffo Waterproofing System" tanning process has gained waterproof properties. Using either of two methods during the manufacturing process, water cannot penetrate the seams. Either the boots are latex seamed or an internal waterproof, breathable membrane (Sympatex bootie?or Daffo booties) integrated. ***Damage such as cuts and abrasions or from exposure to chemical and petroleum may void the guarantee.		Acid Resistant Sole Rubber is a soling material that resists the absorption of damaging acids. In addition, the sole provides added protection from broken glass and metal filings.
			Water Resistant Boots / Water Resistant Footwear All water-resistant footwear is coated with a water-repellent coat that hinders the penetration of water.
			Fire Proof Boots, Fire Resistant Footwear Fire resistant footwear is impervious or resistant to damage by fire.
